Embark on an unforgettable day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a land of breathtaking landscapes and rich history. This amazing tour takes you through fertile lands once cultivated by the Incas, featuring impressive agricultural terraces.
During your journey, you will visit a traditional Andean textile center, where you can witness ancient weaving techniques. You will also explore the archaeological wonders of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero, each offering unique insights into Inca civilization.
In the afternoon, as you travel from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, you will have the opportunity to stop at stunning lookout points, where you can admire the majestic Andes Mountains and connect spiritually with the Apus, the sacred mountain spirits of the Andean world.
The tour begins with hotel pickup between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. From there, we head to the Sacred Valley viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views before continuing to Pisac.
We will visit the Pisac Archaeological Park, an ancient Inca citadel featuring finely polished stone structures, watchtowers, military fortresses, and astronomical observatories. A highlight of this site is the largest Inca cemetery in the Americas.
Afterward, we will descend to the Traditional Market of Pisac, famous for its handicrafts and the barter system still practiced by local traders.
Our next stop is Urubamba, known as the world capital of corn due to its fertile lands. Here, we will enjoy a traditional lunch before continuing our journey.
We will explore the Ollantaytambo Fortress, an impressive Inca city with temples, defensive walls, and agricultural terraces. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in Peru and South America, considered the second most well-preserved Inca citadel after Machu Picchu.
Our final destination is Chinchero, located at 3,772 meters (12,375 ft) above sea level. This was once the site of Emperor Túpac Yupanqui's palace, which was later destroyed by the Spanish, who built the Colonial Church of Our Lady of Monserrat in its place. This 17th-century church houses beautiful paintings from the Cusco School of Art.
The tour concludes at approximately 6:00 p.m. in Cusco, with drop-off at San Francisco Square, just two blocks from the Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
